Emmy Award 2022 irá premiar na noite desta segunda-feira (12) os programas e profissionais de televisão americanos que mais se destacaram no último ano. A cerimônia acontece em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos (EUA), e será apresentada por Kenan Thompson, multiartista e atual integrante do programa ‘Saturday Night Live’.
No Brasil, o Emmy 2022 poderá ser assistido com tradução simultânea pelos canais TNT e TNT Séries, da TV por assinatura, a partir das 21h (horário de Brasília). O evento deve ser reprisado na próxima terça-feira (13) e também na quarta (14).
A premiação tem mais de 100 categorias e elege as principais produções da televisão dos EUA. Em julho, quando a lista dos indicados foi divulgada ao público, fãs se revoltaram por sentirem falta dos nomes de algumas atrizes na lista.
Segundo os críticos, o Emmy “esnobou” as atuações de Selena Gomez em ‘Only Murders In The Building’; de Milly Bob Brown em ‘Stranger Things’; de Sadie Synk, também em ‘Stranger Things’; de Mandy More em ‘This is Us’; de Jennifer Aniston em ‘The Morning Show’ e de Julia Roberts em ‘Gaslit’.
Na 74ª edição do Emmy, promovido pela Academia de Televisão dos EUA, ‘Succession’, drama da HBO, foi o programa com mais indicações, 25 no total, seguido por ‘Ted Lasso’, da Apple TV+, e ‘The White Lotus’, também da HBO, ambas com 20.
Nos dois últimos anos, a Netflix e a HBO têm protagonizado a premiação. Em 2020, a HBO ficou em primeiro lugar com 30 vitórias, seguida pela Netflix com 21. Já em 2021, a Netflix levou 44 prêmios no total, à frente dos 19 da HBO/HBO Max.
